On August 28, 1672, Groningen was liberated under the leadership of Carl von Rabenhaupt. This is celebrated as "Gronings Ontzet” every year. In 2022 it was the 350th anniversary – a special occasion celebrated with lots of festivities for young and old.
Many activities, shows, and parties were put together to celebrate and appreciate our experience in beautiful Groningen. Regardless of age, heritage, or occuppation this was about community, pride, and lightness. To many more years, Grunn!
