This project brings the unvarnished truth and abstractness of climate change together – a global issue depicted locally in Groningen.
Climate change is a scary yet real thing. Every year new disasters are and we are confronted with the consequences. Every year marks anniversaries of previous events, which should have been huge warning signs to us. And even though we might feel like we are not affected – we are.
The effects of global warning are just as visible in Groningen. The weather is extremer, traffic is adapting, and waste is increasing. It is difficult to grasp and understand such an abstract, big scale thing but we are all affected. That is why it is important to apply it to locations, events, and behavior people know and understand.
It is important to act, every day, and every year. If we want to experience more years on this beautilful earth, beautiful Groningen, it is important to acknowledge climate change and make it accessible to everyone.
